The Academics Cell of  the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGS-AS),  Umiam  functions as the key and official section in the Administrative division for looking after all the academic activities of the College with respect to students and ensuring the smooth functioning of academic processes in the College. The Cell has been actively operating since 2007.

The Cell is primarily involved in administering academic activities concerning students like admission, registration, examination, scholarship(online/offline), assessment and evaluation, result declaration, degree issuance work etc. The cell oversees , plans and regulates these different student- related academic processes in alignment with the University academic curriculum and framework.

The cell is the major contact for providing academic information related to the students of the College as and when the Headquarter seeks. The Cell functions as an advisory body for resolving academic related student issues.

The Cell is dedicated to ensure that the needs and concerns of the students with respect to academic works are addressed on time and manner that is in accordance with the established procedures, timeline and rules.

The Assistant Registrar (Academics) is the officer-in-charge of the cell and she discharges her duties/functions under the direct superintendence, direction and guidance of the Dean of the College.
