About the Public Relations & Media Management (PRMM) Cell

The Public Relations & Media Management (PRMM) Cell of the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGSAS), Umiam serves as the official body responsible for managing the institution’s communication and media outreach . It got functional in the year 2020 at CPGSAS, Umiam and plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of information related to academic, research, and extension activities through social media platforms and local newspapers.

PRMM oversees the management of the college’s social media handles, regularly updating them with news, achievements, events, and student activities to enhance visibility and engagement. It is also responsible for documenting and publicizing major events, workshops, training programmes, and seminars conducted within the college.

In addition, the cell coordinates with local media agencies for the publication of news and press releases in newspapers, thereby strengthening the institution’s outreach and community engagement. Through its consistent efforts, PRMM ensures that the achievements and contributions of CPGSAS are effectively communicated to a wider audience, promoting transparency, recognition, and institutional pride.

Furthermore, every year, PRMM Cell ensures important days such as National Youth Day, National Women’s Day, Farmers’ Day, World Water Day, and World Environment Day, to be observed and celebrated fostering awareness and active participation within the college community.
