The Boys Hostel at CPGSAS, Umiam provides a comfortable, safe, and student-friendly environment with the following facilities available for Postgraduate (PG) and Doctoral (PhD) students:

3	Safety Security	24-Hour CCTV Surveillance for Continuous monitoring to ensure safety and security of hostel residents. Hostel caretaker/staff are also available during office hours.
4	Dining Facility	Dedicated mess facility with hygienic and nutritious meals at affordable rates. The siting capacity is 45 Nos.
5	Water Sanitation	RO/Water Filter Facility for Safe and clean drinking water available on each floor and mess hall.
6	Recreation Common Facilities	TV Room / Common Room with DTH connectivity for relaxation, social interaction, get-together and entertainment.
7	Utility Services	Laundry facility for washing clothes to ensure convenience for students.

Different facilities/ amenities available for PG and PhD students in the Girls Hostel, CPGSAS, Umiam

The College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences offers two hostels for female postgraduate and doctoral students. The M.Sc. Girls' hostel has 44 rooms, of which 24 rooms are equipped with an attached bathroom while the Ph.D. hostel has 16 rooms with attached bathrooms. Common washrooms are available on all floors of the hostel. The hostels share a common mess that is managed by students on a rotation basis.

Hostellers enjoy Wi-Fi and recreational amenities like indoor games (table tennis, board games, carrom), and hand-held musical instruments for cultural activities. Each hostel is equipped with a semi-automatic washing machine for laundry purposes. Hostel prefects are appointed from amongst the students who work in coordination with the warden on all hostel-related issues.

Regular cleaning drives are organised and carried out to ensure cleanliness and for maintaining a pleasant and welcoming environment for all hostellers.
